Ok, people, you're sitting in front of arguably the world's most powerful tool, USE IT!
I'm really getting tired of people who post questions on internet forums without bothering to use their damn computer/internet connection to find the answer themselves. They'll ask questions like, "what's the origin of this word?" Well, dumbass, go to Google and type in "origin of this word" and hit "Search" and see what comes up. The other day this guy asked what the warranty policy was for a specific manufacturer. When I posted a link from the company's site with the answer, he said, "I know that, I want more details." Well, fuckknuckle, if you'd bothered to read the site, you'd see that they gave you a toll-free number and email address if you have more questions. I mean, come on.
Even my own brother did this. A few years ago I got an email from him (that I've long since lost due to upgrades) where he asked me to clip out the medical employment ads from the 2 local papers and mail them to him as he and his classmates were wondering what the job market was like for their chosen field in other areas of the US. Instead I sent him links to about a dozen newspapers' employment ads online.
Oh, and the people who, on a car board (whose membership is generally comprised of people between the ages of 17 & 24), ask for help with a legal problem. Gee, have you tried contacting a real lawyer? Surely one in your area will give you better advice than some teenage car-geek on the other side of the country.
In case you haven't noticed, stupid people really piss me off.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I see this crap all the time... especially things like "Who sings that song where the lyrics go like this..." Just type the lyrics into Google and you'll find the freaking song and artist! Or "How many movies has ____ been in?" on the message boards on IMDb! Christ, people, you're already on a movie database! Figure out how to use the damn thing.
