At lunch yesterday, I was playing JT's Blocks on Yahoo Games (Battlestar Gablocktica, if you're curious). Someone in the chat window commented that they were about to go download some music, then listed the artists. The list was comprised entirely of Goth artists. Someone else observed that the music was all Goth, and stated that they weren't into it. The original person said they liked the music, because they were, in fact, Goth. The second person then asked what was so attractive about the Goth lifestyle. A third person chimed in with, "I've always wondered, too." There was no immediate response from the original person.

I waited a few minutes, to see if they were going to respond. I was tempted to immediately type: "If you have to ask, you wouldn't get it." I instead waited, to give the first person a chance to respond.

Then it hit me. The perfect response.

It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand.
