I was awakened by Al Unser, Jr.
I live in a loft in Downtown Dallas on the second floor. I was awakened this morning by the sound of squealing tires going around our corner about every 10 minutes or so. I looked out my windows but couldn't see anything, except for people with radios talking to each other, and a silver Cadillac with a camera mounted to the front bumper sitting on the street. Finally my wife and I decided to go for brunch and went down to the street to check it out. As we were heading out of the parking garage, this guy asked us to wait a few minutes because they were filming a commercial. We asked him about it, and he said it was for a new 2005 Cadillac STS4 V8, and that Al Unser, Jr. was driving. We hung out there for about 5 minutes, and finally he got the all clear (they were waiting for green lights, even though they had the roads blocked off). He came tearing around the corner, tires squealing, and went flying past us. He went down about 5 or 6 blocks, and over the radio I heard a director say, "turning right in 3, 2, 1," and then he turned right. The guy gave us the all-clear, so we walked around the corner and saw that they had two identical Caddies, one with a camera on the front, and one w/o. They had identical fake license plates (UNE 370). Depending on camera angles, my loft might be in the ad (I live on the 2nd floor).
