10.09.2005

I woke up early, and decided to read blogs.

While perusing my list of blog bookmarks, I found a meme on Letters to Nowhere that I thought I'd self-tag and do.

The rules:
1. Delve into your blog archive.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions. Ponder it for meaning, subtext or hidden agendas…
5. Tag five (cough 3) people to do the same.

Apparently it took me a while to get into blogging. My first post was back on May 9, 2003 (which is funny because I joined blogger.com back in May 2001), but I didn't hit 23 until October 12, 2004, almost exactly a year ago. The title of the post was Watching the clock, and the 5th sentence was:
Work's going well.
It's not hard to discern the meaning, and there really isn't any subtext or hidden agendas. Work was going well. Not much has changed in a year, other than having a record sales month in July, and getting a new color copier last week (see below).

As for tagging others, I don't know that 5 people read this blog. I know that Justin does, because he told me so last night. There's always Cynthia, who feels the same way about these memes as I do. I suppose I could tag hereNT, since his readership is evidenced by his comments in the post below. And I don't want to forget Mandy, although she's busy preparing for her wedding in 2 weeks, so she might not get around to it for a while. I'll also tag my fellow Mango Radio DJ, WebKittyn, with the added comment to her that I now allow comments by non-Blogger people, so she can actually comment here if she'd like. That's 5. Of course, if any of the people don't want to do it, they don't have to. It's not like the Blog Police are going to hunt them down or anything.

Comments:
And I'm what, chopped liver?

Of course you're not. You're more than welcome to do it, too, if you wish.

It was early and I'd just woken up.

Please forgive me.

Woo, non-blogger comments! Thank you!

This looks fun, time to go dig through my archives!

I wasn't going to play along... but curiosity got the better of me.

Here's the sentence from my 23rd post.

"Stories about priests raping babies get me in trouble."

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to learn from that, aside the obvious.
