Fritos® & Marshmallow Fluff
Back when Cynthia & I got married, I had some email conversations with some people who shall remain nameless. They were attacking our "way of life," even though they lived 1200 miles away, and only saw us once a year. In their eyes, we had self-destructive habits, especially where our health was concerned, and our diet in particular. I never got a direct answer from them with regards to what they though about our diet, but I got the impression that they thought we didn't eat very healthy. Keep in mind that they only saw us when we were on vacation, and the last time prior to our wedding was over Thanksgiving. At one point in our email exchange, I told them that we ate very healthy, and asked if they thought we just sat around eating Fritos® & Marshmallow Fluff. For the last couple of years, it's kinda been a joke between Cynthia and I, kind of a symbol of wreched excess. When we're feeling particularly decadent, we'll joke about eating Fritos® & Marshmallow Fluff.
Well, when we were in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, at her mother's house for Thanksgiving this year, I noticed that her mom had a bag of Fritos®, and that she also had a jar of Marshmallow Fluff. Saturday night, while watching one of our all-time favorite movies, Cynthia brought the bag of Fritos® to me. I looked at her and asked about the Marshmallow Fluff. She sighed, and got up and brought it, and a spoon. Yes, I actually ate Fritos® and Marshmallow Fluff. It's really good. Seriously. It's kinda like yogurt covered pretzels: the chips are salty, and the fluff is sweet. I don't think I'll have it again any time soon, but I highly recommend it if you're ever feeling adventurous and decadent.
