Let's see, what's happened in the last week or so...

Found out that in April, the first full month I worked at AlphaGraphics, my store was #10 in total sales in the region (out of 31), #6 in b/w copying, and #3 in color copying. Not only that, but we weren't in the top 10 for copies made, only in $ amounts sold in those categories. That means I'm not making very many errors, and we're getting a good price for our copies.

When I get to work on Monday there should be a new computer waiting for me on my desk. They're removing the iMac that I have and replacing it with an eMac. The eMac has a much better processor and more memory and a larger HD than the iMac. The reason they're doing this is so that I can start to help out our design department by doing more design work -- the little iMac just won't handle the software required to do that. They're also talking about putting a PC on my desk, too. If they do, it'll be one crowded desk.

Justin came over Friday night and looked at the computer I want to use as a music server. We couldn't really do anything with it that night, so I let him take it home with him to look at it at his leisure. He called me Saturday to say that what he thought was a video out port wasn't, and that the processor wasn't x86 compatible. But he said that the good news was that he could program that processor to do whatever we want it to do, or he could load Linux on it. Either way, he should be able to get it up and running for me. I so want to get it connected and operational, it'll be so cool.

Saturday Cynthia and I went and got our hair cut. Afterwards we ate lunch at Hunky's - they have incredible hamburgers and onion rings. We stopped by Barnes & Noble and looked at some books, but didn't buy anything. We shopped at The Container Store and got some things to store our lunch containers under the sink. Then we decided to go to Grapevine Mills Mall and see a movie. We ended up seeing A Mighty Wind. It was pretty good, not as good as This Is Spinal Tap or Best In Show, but good nonetheless. Then we sneaked in to watch Identity. That, too, was a good movie. Creepy, but good. The only bad thing was the volume was way too loud. After the movies, we drove to Ft. Worth to visit Cynthia's friend, Michael, at the 4 Day Weekend show. We chatted with him off and on for about an hour and a half or so. By then it was midnight, and we were about to fall asleep standing up, so we drove home, ate a sandwich, and went to bed.

Today I unpacked two boxes of things that I had on my glass shelves and my scanner/printer stand. We decided that we would not set up the printer, that we'd invest in a decent one soon.

Time for a shower.
